Camaro Build...going for 1000whp
Just thought i would share my build. car is a 2010 camaro ss
i bought the car in feb. and it was completely stock down to the air filter. last month i ordered a few mods for it. that included:
2.9 whipple,boost-a-pump, custom blower cam, ls3 conversion, roto fab cai, tsp full exhaust, magna flow axel back, yank ss converter, id 850 injectors, arp headstuds, BMR race susp. 20" nitto DR's
on pump gas the car made 650whp/555wtq. the car started to run out of fuel pump, so we had to stop there.
now on to the new parts......
for the next round of mods to help get to the 1000hp mark.
RPM 4L80e level 5 trans
1000hp converter
Smaller whipple pulley
Squash 1000hp fuel system
Nitrous Outlet dual nozzle dry kit
Alky Control meth kit
4" DSS one piece driveshaft
PCS trans controller
17" bigs & skinnies weld rts (black)
with these mods the car should be around the 900whp mark. so im going to be selling the stock trans and yank 6l80e converter and be building a LSX 427 for it to install this winter.

Have you gotten your fuel system stuff yet? If not, I have an Aeromotive Stealth fuel pump assembly custom built to support 1000rwhp even with E85 for a great price if you're interested.

I started the same quest for 1000rwhp, had the whipple 2.9 and alky controls. made 7xxrwhp for a long time, started with the motor build etc and after weeks of talking with whipple they told me no way i would make 1000rwhp on a 2.9 whipple it just wont flow enough... IMO i would not be doing dual nitrous, alky injection and FI... just my opinion you are going to have a tuning nightmare... why dont you get a charger than can support the power you are looking for and run the meth instead of trying to go with 3 power adders...
so far i have made 1059rwhp@5200rpm... we are shooting to spin to 7-7500 but have had part failures hold us back.
i have a buddy selling the same charger i have for a 2010 the complete setup if interested.
good luck

Yea I've talked about it a lot. My main thing is even with all that is done you can't tell appearance wise etc. stock fuel tank, interior etc so I was really trying to keep it original. This is the last go around with the manual though....

I did the same thing. car was making 800hp and I got tired of dealing with heat soak issues and ditched the whipple.
car now has a cog driven f1x, rpm 4l80e, id1300s, e85 and meth.
track here open t his weekend so we will see how it does.
