Default What are you guys running with bone stock SS in the 1/4?

I had been looking forward to seeing one of these cars at the track for a while to see what it would do, had been reading that could be in the 12s or very low 13 easy. I have seen two of the new SS both auto, however the best I have seen either of them run was like a 13.6 at like 105-106. So just thought that I would see how you guys had been doing. (did a search and found a few but just wanted to see what the "average" was for these cars.)

He's talking 2010 camaro. I have yet to be at a track since they have come out, but I would say low to mid 13s seems right considering the weight. I'm sure others can chime in.

For showroom stock LS3s- mid-12s for the truly gifted, high 12s for a good driver, low 13s for most. The L99s can get a very high 12 as well.

thanks for the comments guys, that is a pretty good time, i just took my car to the track for the first time and it did 13.46 at 108 with a terrible 2.2+ 60' (6speed 02 car) i was just curious as to what the new 2010 auto ran after waiting to see them and then seeing those couple, i thought they were supposed to run more like you were saying, could be driver.

The rule of thumb is that anything under a 2.0 60' will get you a 12 for the most part. When I was at the track last year a bone stock, 600 mile L99 went 12.9

I went 13.30 2.2 60ft 108.9mph with 100 miles on the car. I then put long tubes, x pipe and magnaflow's, ran 13.60@106. Lol yeah I know....the difference was about 30 degree's, it was 108 at the track this past saturday, first pass was 13.75, then I went 13.60 I got pissed so I left.

Does the ecm limit the performance on these cars in hot weather conditions? I remember hearing that was an issue with GTOs a few years ago.

Best i could get this last friday was 13.5@106

Anyone wanna give me some advice on shiftpoints? At one point I thought i was shifting to early, then i shifted to late(hit the limiter), missed gears. My times where all over the place. It was about 85 * out and I thought i saw stock cars trapping around 109-110?

I even tried using the competive mode and that was a fail as I just roasted all of first gear. My best 60ft was a 2.1..........which i think i missed 3rd gear on that pass. (happened twice to me too). I really like the way the car drives putting around the streets but taking it to the track made me hate it and looked like an ***. I think im gonna get some drag radials and a short throw shifter and try it again
