Default Indy 500 Edition Camaro SS

I'm a proud new of a 2010 Camaro SS Indy 500 Edition. I'm having some trouble tracking down information regarding these cars. All I am able to find is that 200 were sent to dealers and that either 50 of these 200 or 50 separate ones were sent to the track for the parade and are called festival cars. The only other thing I can think of is when I go to the dealer next is I will have them run my vin number and see if they can track where it has been.

Lots of good info here.... http://camaropacecars.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/411103015

Dealer will be useless on this. There were 240 built for US and 50 or so for Canada.

50 of the US cars were used as Festival Cars at the Speedway, and were numbered and documented. If your car is not a festival car, the only way to see the history would be with a carfax. If it is a Festival Car, I have some info that was provided by a friend that was at the track on race day.

Thank you she is a beauty. After months of digging I was able to get in touch with someone from Indy. Unfortunately its not a festival car but it is #80 of 200. Plus mine is signed by Mario Andretti.

Nice car.

The actual z28 pace car from the 2014 500 is collecting dust in the building across the street from my shop.

Just so you know there is no such thing as ## of 200. These cars were built among other makes/models and have a vin just like any other 5th Gen. GM entertained thoughts of numbering them but did not go that route for a couple of reasons. One they were behind the power curve getting these out and two they didn't want folks lining up to get #1. Numbers were actually printed out but never used. The only numbering system is the 50 festival cars that were assigned numbers for their plates and such after they were built.

There were actually 249 total and around 5 or 6 that were manual trans all sold in Canada. Great car you have and definitely rare.
