Looks cool though I wonder if they reinforced the nose in case of a crash.

LOL, maybe the second or third.

GM prolly has the first one somewhere.

Because we didn't want to kill the seal at the hood we cut the intake rather than the cowl.

Very cool!

I read about yours on C5G after I posted this, LOL. They're all bad ***. I'm still holding out hope for one with a warranty. Any idea what it weighed before and after the swap?

I had weighed the car at several tracks when running with the NMCA. With me and a Nitrous bottle in the car it was anywhere from 3920 (Milan) to 4074 (maple Grove and Route 66)

After we swapped the LSA we also changed several other items that would skew the numbers. We replaced the Tremec 6060 transmission with a trick 4L80E automatic. With that we installed a 1 piece driveshaft also.

Also a Lingenfleter Setrab? Intercooler, intercooler pump as well as a trans cooler and lines were also added.

also removed was the stock LS3 oil cooler and lines and air conditioning compressor, and the condesning unit and lines.

At Mempihs it weighed 4080 after all the changes.

With the automatic and all that torque and horsepower mine would make a great drift car also LOL

More info about the car and some photos.

This car is being built to compete in the 2010 Formula Drift championship as well as some select west coast Red Line Time Attack events. We also plan on running Pikes Peak as long as we get the funding to do so.

The car finally got to the dyno last week after almost 3 months of waiting on parts to get in. We are really pleased with how the tune went, Mitch Pederson from MP Tuning did an amazing job getting the motor running perfect. The LS-A motor is stock with the exception of the Hennessey pulley/snout upgrade (takes the motor from 9 to 13 psi of boost). We should have some testing footage of the car in the next couple of weeks.

Here is some info about the car:

Oh, I thought that I had in another post. Ours made 594 once and then 584 to 588 several times. Don't know why it would not repeat on the 594. Might have been heat soak in the intercooler and heat exchanger.

I am down to about 43 pounds of fuel pressure at 5500 RPM and 39 pounds at 6400 RPM. With 63 pound per hour injectors and a BAP it's not enough.

Looking at several in tank fuel pump solutions as well as a smaller cam.
Once the new cam is in and the 6060 trans is back in the car I expect to pick up a few ponies.
