Default 2001 SS, GT11, 243 results

Just got a call from my tuner with some dyno results. Car is an 01 Automatic SS, stock stall, 3.73s, LTs, ORY, Stock CatBack, FRA, milled 243 heads, and a GT11 cam.

Pulls were made in +100 degree heat and made 385 RWHP. Sound right? Should make over 400 with a better catback and cooler temps, no?

Ran 12.2 at 114 with just bolt-ons, stock heads, stock cam...so shouldn't a mid 11 at 118+ be doable?

I don't know why this thread is in the 5th Gen section however your car needs to have an aftermarket torque converter... ie: Yank, Vigilante to place the car in the power band a lot sooner and keep it there. The car is low- mid 11s with the stall and set of sticky tires.

I dropped the ball and put it in the wrong section. Please move to proper section, Mods..

I'm trying to keep the stock stall to be honest. Just not wanting to stall and do a built trans yet. Can't really use a good stall without tires, and possibly a rear in the future due to hard launches. Just looking for an 11 second pass in a tame set-up.

Car has already gone 12.22 at 114 without the heads and cam. Hoping for an 11.7 min.

You're an auto, your rear is relatively safe at those power levels, even with launching. I don't know much about automatics (or manuals, ), but as I've read I'd def. get a stall/converter ASAP...

Honestly feels like its needs a converter now anyway. Wants to pull a little while holding the brake in gear...not bad but def noticeable.
