new cars will have a few miles on them
You wouldn't buy a car without test driving it, would you? Not every test drive ends in a sale.
And what dealer in his right mind would take a huge financial hit (car going from new to used) on that "maybe" by allowing a test drive, if that were the case?
New cars shouldn't have much, but having a _few_ miles on the clock is no biggie.

Ive never bought a new car but I do know going for a test drive for a potential car most dealers take the demo car. Ive just heard a lot of stories of people wanting a different car than that of which they take out, with absolutely no miles on it because it is no longer, in fact, "new"

when i worked at the dealerships (even the frank parra dealership that is pictured in camaro5) some of the corvettes would already have 5 miles on their odometer. you still have to do a PDI on them and that puts another mile or so on them. but damn it i wish i still worked at frank parra so i could look at them grrrrr

i don't know where you shop at and how the dealers treat people in your area, but every time i've gone to test drive a car, i tell them which one, on the lot, i want to drive and they fetch the keys. i've never had to take a demo car.
have these started showing up in showrooms, yet? i haven't seen any in person and i'm getting anxious...

Some dealers have like 20+ of these things already.

i guess what i meant to ask was, have people purchased and have them at home, now? i haven't seen any on the roads around central indiana and, being fairly close to michigan, i would expect to see a few. (i understand their final assembly is not in michigan, but still...)

Classic Chevy in Grapevine,TX (one of, if not the largest dealers in nation) said at least some of the SS Orange cars in the parade are "extras" from GM that the dealerships can auction off for chartiy. Thier's is going to auction at thier official May6 launch party!!! bring your check book!!!!
Or like me just go and try not to drool too much on it!!!
