Becareful if you post there. The mods dont like you speaking any truth unless its 100% positive. You have to love SLP and like any aftermarket part or photo someone posts about Camaros.

Apparently after like 5 posts I was banned and it said "you and your attitude are not welcome here".

Lets see, I posted a stock dyno run on a l99 to help a guy compare his stock run.

I posted that most of the time SLP is a rip and I felt that Ed Hamburg is a tool for the whole attempt at the Firehawk issue.

Then I didnt like some aftermarket fender that looked like a BMW and said it would look better on a G8. Plus they had some pics of a DUBBED out camaro in the works that looked like a DUB toy.

Anyways dont disagreee with anything anyone posts there. No warnings, no infractions, nothing.


And yes, I see that I spelled careful wrong in the title, I almost did it posting this too. I have sweet typing skills.

I got warned for asking who gives a crap about GT500's on that site. I've been a member since early 2007, own a 2010 and have over 800 posts. Seems the GT500 owners on that site got a little pissy and complained about me and I got warned. You can't disagree with anyone on that site I guess. It's great for info if you talk to the right people on the site but as a whole it's a waste of time.

Don't start the SLP/Hamburger flames here. I like SLP, and never had a problem with Ed. He has always been helpful to the community. I just dislike the Firehawk G8.

Well, I like the 5th gen a lot but don't care for Camaro5 at all. Most people on there think that the 5th gen is the greatest car to have ever come in to existence and bash everything else. I don't really even read much over there anymore, just too damn annoying. I like to think of Camaro owners as one big family but they isolate themselves from all the other gens except maybe 1st gens.

The main problem is there is nothing for them to talk about, they just show each other pictures of their new cars. Just wait for the first person to post who has a white Camaro....that will be epic over there. There will be 40 pages of posts on that thread all saying “wow, white looks so awesome.”

I recently posted the SAME thread on here.
The mods on Camaro5 and GRRRR8 are paid off ****** for certain vendors (especially a certain roots style blower company).
They censor members, repress honest criticism, and will even ban members at a vendor's request.
Greed and Censorship is here to stay, I'm afraid.
I'm beginning to believe the only place to get honest and unbiased information is at the track and at street races.

Love it, couldn't be happier unless it lost a few lbs. and had smaller rear rotors for a small dia. DR. Much more a street fighter than a track basher though but the power/brakes/suspension are great.

I agree with you but the same can be said of a lot of LS1 owners too.

Some of the **** said on that forum pisses me off. Biggest one is they are always talking about a twin turbo 4 popper. And how it would be great to see a 350hp V6 put into a Z/28. Honestly GM defaced the SS with putting SS on everything from Malibu Maxx's to HHRs. I do not think they should deface the Z/28 by putting a 6 into it.

I like the site but there are A LOT of trolls there, particularly mustang guys. I can't understand people with no interest in GM products going there only to bash the Camaro and talk about their mustangs.

+1 best site for the 5th gen right now. I think the mustang guys are just somewhat threatened by the car, especially with all the attention its getting right now. Plus they haven't had any real competition for a while now, probably itching for a fight

I agree, I like SLP, but people should still be able to have there opinion. Thats why I love this site, however sometimes it can go to far. But you should be warned first, not just ejected.

Dont know Ed, but I know SLP, awesome products and tech help.
