CTS-V Motor Swap Questions ???

CTS-V Motor Swap Questions ???
I was thinking of putting a maggie on my camaro, but a CTS-V crate motor might be a better option for a couple of reasons like;
I can keep my factory motor and put it back.
Basically I'm going to get the same power as if I put a maggie, but with stonger internal parts.
The CTS-V motor is complete, and probably comes with a warantee !!
Does anyone know if the CTS-V motor goes directly into the camaro with no addtional mods.
For example the all the wiring is the same?
All the plugs are there?
Does the airbox line up? The CTS-V looks like it is off the the side.
Does a CTS-V airbox fit in a camaro ?
Any known issues? or unknown variables?
Anything else you can think of??
Has anyone done it?
Have you done it?
Any pics?
Any swap llinks?

Does anyone know if the CTS-V motor goes directly into the camaro with no addtional mods. No the upper manifold cover needs to be modified to clear the Camaro cowl.
For example the all the wiring is the same? Mostly, but some need extensions if using the E38 processor you will not be able to use all the sensors (map) from the LSA
All the plugs are there? No, different processor.
Does the airbox line up? The CTS-V looks like it is off the side. Don’t know, we built a custom air intake with a Abaco mass air meter. You could use the LS3 blade meter in a new intake tract.
Does a CTS-V airbox fit in a camaro ? Don’t know
Any known issues? or unknown variables? Power steering lines and fittings are different. Need custom hoses and fittings. Air conditioning compressor needs a new flange tigged to the existing Camaro line as they use different flanges.
Anything else you can think of?? LSA use an 8 bolt flywheel. Fidanza should have an aluminum flywheel for the LSA soon.
Has anyone done it? 3 that I know of. Number one I cannot discuss, mine is number 2 and Conrad’s Hanook drift car is the 3rd. If there any others I have not heard about them.
Have you done it? Yes
Any pics? Yes
Any swap llinks? No, watch for a complete story in GM High Tech Magazine
