Default 2010 camaro LSX 454ci 700+hp on pump gas

1500 miles on this 2010 ss. All stock except eliminated the mufflers and added badges. We tore into the car today and got the drivetrain out while retaining the a/c and powersteering in the car. We pulled it out from the top. Much easier then trying to pull from the bottem like 4th gens.

Here is the list of Mods that we "Nitrous Pig Racing" are putting on the car.

MAST motorsports 454ci LSX, with ported ls7 12* heads and custom sheet metal inake specifically measured up for the 2010 style and stock hood.

American racing long tube headers.

Full exhaust to the back

New shifter

Upgraded axel shafts

Centerforce dual friction clutch

Custom cold air intake with K&N filter

Here are some progress pics.

And here is the MAST motorsports 454ci LSX motor with the american racing headers and the sheet metal intake on.

And then a little mockup of the sheet metal inake on the ls3 just to see what it will look like under the hood.

Looks good.

Just curious why you went with a sheetmetal intake? With a car that weighs 4000+lbs id like as much low end Torque as possible.

The car isn't gonna have any problems getting up and going with this intake. With the ls7 intake, the car made over 700hp. Not to mention, this intake just looks BADASS!!

Thanks!! I agree, it does look very nice, especially with the sheet metal valve covers it's gonna have. Should shine! We are also painting the valley cover, timing cover and block body color red. It's going to look as good as it goes!

I'd have to check on that. We had it custom made for our aplication and model of car so it would fit under the stock cowl and hood.

Well started doing the axel shaft upgrade yesterday and ran into a little problem with the snap clips on the inner axel shaft. The new ones weren't seating properly. But we took care of it and got some new ones on it and they snaped in good now. Finished it up today and also installed the new hotchkis subframe connecters. Fitment is really nice. Should help out with the chassis. Got the block all ready for paint today as well. Sanded and cleaned and taped off everything to be sprayed body color red.

Here are some pics.

I actually dont even know the fastest 5th gen record right now. But as is, I do not think it will anyhow. This is a NA car. And pumpgas. If It was a 510ci race gas monster with 2 kits and all suspension for drag, then I think maybe it could have a chance. But thats not what were after here. Were after streetability and a fun little toy on the street. It's staying 6spd and everything. The driver is in his 50's. He just wants something with some OOOMMPH to puts around in.
