Will be the last MY of the body style. I'm sure a limited package, like the 427 edition C6 convertable would sell well

when they first brought back the camaro my friend called gm and told them he would buy one if they put a ls7 in it. back then they told him no way no how will he ever get a camaro new from gm with a ls7. he told him that he would pay for it to be done from them and all that and they turned him down saying that engine will never be put into a new camaro from gm.

Big cubes is the only way to get one of those big 4k# turds to move without a power adder lol. I really wish GM would go back to their roots and offer OPTIONS. I know it'll never happen due to EPA and Govt regulations however it'd be cool to order a new stripper car with a 6spd, 427, crank windows, manual seats, no AC with a 12-bolt rear. That kinda car WOULD sell!

Actually, 2015 is the last MY. Vnew camaro from what I have read is slated a year after the mustang at 2016. If gm takes a 1LE and adds a LS7 as expected, it's going to be wicked.

James has the right idea,i would take a bare bones base ss with no power anything, just a 6speed n 427,no ac,no power anything, just a bare bones car,i would even take those horrible looking black base camaro wheels,no fancy stripe package or any of that, just a bare white ss,i wouldnt even care if it had ss badges or not,but then we would have our own version of the copo for much less lol

Yeah but that would encompass less than 1% of camaro sales so we won't see that. Buy a body in white.

Don't depend on the manufacturer to make the conversion simple. If the engine isn't suited for boost in stock configuration, then change it. Do whatever needs to be done. Obviously the warranty is not an issue, or boosting wouldn't be an option.

I remember some of the anticipatory posts on C5 about the Z28 years ago...supercharged LS7, 45K sticker (cheaper than ZL1) etc. Didn't quite work out that way.
