Well while I am waiting on gears, I have been working on other stuff in the shop. Today I have got back to the camaro. I got the heads torqued down and modified the cam sensor harness guard. The vvt guard sticks out way further than the ls3 guard. I am getting ready to switch the trunions in the rockers and then I will measure for push rods and get them coming. I will post up progress later this week.

Got the trunnion bearing upgrade done. Next I will get the pushrods ordered tomorrow. The rockers in the back are for my ls2 dragster motor. They are getting the same comp trunnion upgrade.

I got the rear end back from RPM transmissions. They got the 3.91 gears in it and it is back in my shop. I also got the billet engine mounts today. The flex plate and pushrods will be here next week and this thing will be going back together!

I have got a lot done and have been to busy to post. Engine is back together and in. Transmission is back together. Rear end is done and in. Upgraded rear control arms and installed SLP sub frame connectors. The Texas speed 2" headers fit nice! The driver side goes in before the engine and is put on the engine just before the engine and trans mate up. The pass side goes in after the starter is installed. Can't speak for the rest of the exhaust yet but will try to let you know tomorrow. Also Polly engine mounts are way nicer to install than the factory ones. Just about a 2 man job but not bad at all. I also put a 1ton truck tranny cooler in the bottom of the grille on top of the air dam. I drilled some holes in the plastic to allow air to move past the fins. The cooler lays down under the condenser. My customer did not want to put a cooler on it but I insisted that it needed it. He did not want it to stick out and look bad. I like where it is. Not optimal but better than nothing.

Got a little more done today. Almost ready to fire. The Texas speed x pipe sucks! They told me they had a run of them that were bent wrong but that they had got the problem fixed. It was an inch off from fitting both headers. I had to put it in my buddy's exhaust bender and tweak it to fit. This left some marks and discoloration. Here are some more pics for you.

I decided to wrap the xpipe and got the rest of the exhaust done. Then I got everything else buttoned up. When I started it, it went into limp mode instantly. I was scared for a bit but with some careful diagnostics I found that the throttle blade was slightly off center in the bore. Whoops. Once I got that straight, I took it for a 20 mile cruise to warm up the gears. It ran great and idles nice and lumpy! Tomorrow I will do the second heat cycle on the gears and check all the bolts. Then it is going to my buddy's shop for an alignment and an a/c recharge. I will try to post a video tomorrow. Last weekend I put in this 4 post lift for my brother in law to store his new C7 stingray on. I was drooling the whole time. This is by far the nicest GM car ever made. (And I am not a corvette fan)
