Whats the main differences youve seen between a P1 and a D1 setup? Temps, boost level, power headroom and the like?

The P-1SC, P-1SC-1 and D-1SC all use the same housing. The D-1SC has a more aggressive impeller, and it can make 3 or 4 more pounds of boost than a P-1SC. A D-1SC at 8 psi will use a larger pulley than a P-1SC which gives it better belt wrap. I can't tell a difference in when the boost comes in between these blowers, temp's seem to be the same too. If you think you may go with a forged bottom end down the road, I would go with the D-1SC. Bob

Only reason Im asking, is I put a P-1SC on a customers F150 and while it helped out the truck alot, the gains werent huge. Then a buddy of mine had a C6 LS2 with a D1 and it was pretty nasty. Didnt know if there was a huge difference in blowers or just that application wasnt great. With the F150, the only thing I can think of, is it was a restrictive motor that wasnt running alot of blower speed.

LS engines really respond to boost, plus it takes a lot more power to make a heavy vehicle feel like it is quick. Bob
