Default Winter Tires

Hey, I just got my 2SS a week ago today. I love it! The 6 Speed Manual is fun to play with and it is by far the fastest car I've ever driven. However, it is October and I am up in Wisconsin. Right now the weather is great but by this time next month that will all change.

This is my only car and I have considered buying a cheap winter car, but I can't see myself paying a car note for a car that is just sitting in the garage. So I am going to drive it and I am looking at getting winter tires but I am having a hard time finding tires for the rear at 275/35/20.

The only ones I have found were Pirelli Sottozero II. I can roll with those or maybe there are some better ones out there.

Any suggestions?

Are you looking for snow tires or all-season?

I wanted new wheels also, so I bought the BFG Comp 2 A/S, but got the same sze that comes on the ZL1 Camaro with my wheels

Buy new wheels, go with something like a -2 setup 235 or 245 R 50-18, will be similar height to your current tire. You will save money on the tires, maybe enough to pay for an inexpensive wheel set. Also this setup will perform better, the narrower tire will cut through the snow better. I like the Blizzak's, IMO they are the leader in this market. You could get a whole set of wheels and tires for about $1000-$1200. That will save your nice wheels from salt damage as well.
