Default LS1 Displacement

What is the displacement in CI for the LS1?

Is it:
A) 346
B) 347
C) 348

I have seen people refer to it as all of these.

Thanks

It's actually like a 345.9.

But it is refered to as a 346. The 347 usually refers to a rebuilt/honed LS1. 348 is nothing LS1 related.

What if it is rebuild/honed twice? lol just kidding.

Its 345.778056 or just round up to 346

3.90 / 2 = 1.95^2 = 3.8025
3.8025 x 3.14 = 11.93985
11.93985 x 3.62 = 43.222257
43.222257 x 8 = 345.778056 CI

Yeh, 346 is what I thought too, but I've seen people talk about their 347 or 348.

Thanks for the replys.

I always tell people its a 346 when they ask. They kind of give you a funny look and they're like "I've never heard of one of those". If you tell them its a 350 they always assume its Gen I, and then they're like I used to have a 350 in my old 87 Iroc Z, it was fast!!

it's a 346 but if somebody askes, it saves a lot of confusion to just say 350 haha. most people either act like they're disappointed that it's 4 cubic inches shy of a 350, or they think i must have bored out a 327.

the way he did it is kinda confusing, but what he did was just the area of the circle (pi*r^2) then multiply by L*C

so you get (pi*r^2)*L*C

pi=3.14
r=1/2 bore
L=distance piston travels (stroke)
C=number of cylinders

bore=3.9
stroke=3.62
