Thanks .

Jan 1st @ like 5:30-6 we are going to get it the 20KM to buddy shop.

Cam/valvetrain should be done that night. Then Exhaust/springs on the Saturday. Then go driving if the roads are dry

Car looks good, most people up north hate the salt that the snow brings with it. I however, being from Texas, wish we had more snow! I am already pretty meticulous with it and wouldn't mind the salt/extra cleaning.

What are the things on the y pipe? I thought you mentioned ORY, but it looks as if there are cats on there. Just curious if they are not.

Did Shifter today, god damn cold out!

Step 1 : Wake the car up from a deep sleep :

Step 2 : Locate Ugly/Mushy Stock Shifter :

Step 3 : Remove Plastic Boot/Shift ****. Be carefull not to break the plastic frame on the boot when removing :

Step 4 : Pry up on the "Pawl" for the ebrake up off the cam, and pull ebrake up 90* :

Step 5 : Remove upper console :

Step 6 : Remove the lower main console :

Step 7 : Remove the rubber shift cover :

Step 8 : Remove the shifter itself :

Step 9 : Apply RTV sealant and reseal new shifter onto transmission :

And done, roads are wet so didn't drive it anywhere, but shifter feels so tight and its shorter and much more positive, and looks so much nicer :

Very nice, hope everything goes well for you. Did you happen to replace the little nylon bushing in the shifter pocket? I don't know km to miles conversion, but you were in there and it would have been only a few bucks.

Trans only has 20,000km since rebuild. The little white "cup" looked liked new, I did inspect it

Not doing cam anymore. Buddy that was going to do it doesnt have proper spring removing tool, and itd be rushed in 2 days, I really dont want stuff to be rushed inside the engine heh.

So we are doing Headers/Y/Catback and Sportlines.

Im also thinking with amount of KM on it, maybe itd be better as a bolt-on car, save the clutch/10bolt too

Ya.

Only engine mods will be :

FAST manifold
Full exhuast with the long tubes
LID and K&N
EGR tube cut
Free ram air
Coolant bypass

Then I will tune it.

Only other mods will be 4.10's, but not for a bit.

Car will just be a fun bolt on ride

Going to do Intake swap first and make sure it runs good etc, before doing exhuast incase any issues arise, can isolate them.

I'm wondering on the Intake, its a 78MM unit, the coolant tubes...can I use LS1 tubes, I've read both ways. With the intake I am getting the valley bolts and tubes needed, but I've read that LS1 coolant tubes do a better job at coolaing # 7/8 cyl. If at all possible I'd like to keeep my stock tubes. Has anyone done this?

Any words of advice before I jump into the swap?

-FAST intake is on
-Lowering springs are in
-New "Trans-Am" and bird stickers on taillight panel

All thats left to do are Longtubes/Y and Catback. And fit the Fuel Rail Covers.

Sits amazingly. So low, LOVE it, just needs tint now :

Also put on new Taillight filler panel stickers, mine were faded so bad :

Thank guys!

They are sportlines. Wasnt to bad to swap, my buddy Al and dad helped.

Just jacked car up, lowered rearend down to as far as it could. Pryed springs out and just pushed new ones in.

Fronts we removed 4 upper bolts and 2 lower shockmount bolts and upper balljoint/sway bar links. Compressed springs removed hat and removed spring. Compresed new one and reinstalled! Only bitchy part, have to make sure the lower spring perch is in right position to upper mount and lower mount line up. Other then that wasn't bad!

===

To freakin cold today to even want to do anything! We installed the Fuel Rail Coveres and snaped some pics. Tomorrow header install and Ypipe/Catback.
