Hope that helps
No VVT on an LS3

That was us. We are now out of them and likely won't be able to find anymore for that price. They are quickly disappearing forever

Thanks!

To the OP. The LS3 has replaced the LS6 for good reason. The TQ and powerband will be much better suited for a driver over an LS6 simply due to displacement. The power numbers look similar, but the actual performance is quite a bit different.

I was in a similar situation. I could either build up my existing 74 Corvette L-48 350 (Here are the specs) Instead, I went from this:

To this...

Back it with a modern transmission with overdrive and and some 3:73's and you can have your cake and eat it too. Final note. Your mother could drive it to the store for a gallon of milk. When your not hauling groceries and grandkids, you can haul *** to the tune of low 11's in the 1/4 mile. My vote is the LS3 over the LS6, hands down with no debate.

Feel your pain, I too mulled about on which transplant to go with and settled on a LS3 Connect & Cruise from Summit. 430 horse, overdrive tranny and complete integration if electrics...win win
