What kind of power if any can I get out of a set of stock 5.3 heads with a 3 angle valve job? Are would I better to go with stock LS6 heads with the 3 angle valve job?

IMO the V3 gains would be minimal and the lower lift of the V2 should be more spring friendly...

well for the record i have PRC CNC ported 5.3L heads and a TQ3 cam. I made 463hp to the wheels, that's with a fast 92 intake and throttle body. without the intake and tb, i made 425 rwhp. I have the heads and cam for sale actually for 1200 shipped. Maybe 15k miles on them. the Cam works like a champ from 4k rpm up. Pulls really hard. TQ3 is a damn good off the shelf cam. Let me know if you're intersted.

417rwhp/396tq on the new tune....

2000, full exhaust, stock heads, fast 92 ported intake, FTRA...

And that was before the duals where i KNOW i picked up more power

Mods in sig. I made that through a Kooks Catted Y pipe and GMMG catback. Now I have X-pipe/Sprial Flows dumped. I'm sure it makes more power with the new exhaust. You can click on the link to see the graph.

Cam pulls like a train ~3200 RPM to 7000. Definitely can't go wrong with it.

V3 is on the LSX lobes and will make more power everywhere. I think it's a 10 - 15hp difference between the V2 and V3 if I remember correctly.

Sounds about right, i made those with the AR y pipe and a closed Borla catback.
