Default loud ticking

I know that ls1s are known to do this. However my car just turned 35k and now its ticking louder, and during accel. Before it wasnt as loud and it only ticked at idle. Any thoughts on the issue?

Ls1s make a lot of noises.

Can you make a video of it?

You're just now putting 35k miles on the car?

This. If the noise doesn't really change with temperature and sounds like top end I would def. check for one or more bent pushrods. Real easy to do on a missed shift/over rev on stock pushrods.

and if it does change with temp? My car makes a racket cold, but it goes away once the car reaches running temp.

Yes.

It has been really cold around here lately. Not sure if that would effect it more.

I would do an oil change before getting too worked up about it. Any check engine lights coming on? My LS1 is kinda noisy, but tends to quiet down after an oil change, fluids level fill. Any power loss?

No lights, no loss of power. Only thing I notice is the header bolts are loose. I think that may be the issue. Im going out tomorrow to get a tool to tighen them up.

Well the bolts were not the problem. Seems like the lifters are just getting louder

Probably exhaust leak if the header bolts were loose. It could still be doing it after tightening the header bolts if the header gasket has been compromised. The exhaust leak due to loose bolts could have cooked the gasket.

after checking exhaust, pop a valve cover and check your rockers for spilled out needle bearings, saw that a few times on this site.

out of curiosity, is it visually obvious if there are missing needle bearings from a rocker? If not, is there a way to test the rocker to see if it has them?

My car has quite a bit of chatter in the cold and I've never understood it, but I've never found any parts in my pan or anything.. and when it warms up it sounds perfectly healthy.
