Default Top removal or bottom, car totaled

So my 94 lt1 6 speed car is totalled. bent tie rods, cracked steering rack, body mangled after taking out a ditch and 2 fence posts in heavy rain. I'm buying a 93 roller that was originally a lt1 6 speed.

My plan is to pull my motor and tranny and put them into the 93. with all the damage to my 94's suspension, would it be better to remove the motor and tranny from the top or bottom?
I can do either one, just thought the top would be more appropriate
Also any info regarding going from 94 to 93 would be helpful

If its wasted, no hope for coming back, get the sawzall out and cut everything from the strut forward off and out of the way and pull it all out that way. No sense messing around removing the k member and everything else just to scrap the car. More work than it's worth.

Then once it's out, you have to put the k member back in it to roll it around. Pulling it out from the top makes much more sense in this case.

I have only done 2 removals an LT1 and an LS1 and both were from the top. Make sure to use a load leveler to tilt the motor with the cherry picker if pulling from top. When removing the LS1, I removed all front accessories, the intake and the headers. They were coming off anyway for the new build.

In your case, I would cut off the rad. support off the totaled car and yank it out.

That would be my guess as well, then just lower both into the roller chassis. the only panels even worth keeping on the wrecked one are the passenger door, trunk lid, passenger fender, rear bumper. the rest is trashed. I've pulled alot of motors and trannys from the top on earlier model cars, but never a 4th gen
