5.3litre advice
Hey guys,
Not sure if this is the right forum section for this but i will take a shot-i have an 01 silverado ext cab that i love dearly and is near mint-i now have a spare 5.3 and tranny that i would like to have rebuilt with some ***** and grunt-i do pull a est.3350 lbs(plus trailer) boat with it and will have to continue to also-so what i am looking for is some mean and lumpy ***** but healthy and will last-i do not drive this truck in the winter so no worries but i also dont want to spend a fortune-my biggest thing is i do not want any "engine lights" on.So if you guys could help me out with ideas i would like to get this started.

Probably get more hits on this over at performance trucks site. Most 5.3 info you get here will be related to making power to go fast not tow.
However I would suggest having larger valves put in your stock heads, and a good cam. Stall and possibly gears to give it more low end grunt.
