Need help ASAP! Locked keys in the car.
I went out to my car and i tried to start it but my battery was dead. I took the battery out of my truck and was putting it in my car and as i was hooking up the negative, i heard the doors lock. Well, i get a coat hanger in there and push the unlock button on both doors and nothing happens. Try to roll the windows down but the key is not on. Tried unhooking the battery and doing it again and it keeps on locking my doors. The lock button works but the unlock doesn't. I went to the dealership and had a key made for my car that cost $20 and it doesn't flipping work. Is this some kind of security precaution or do i have a gliche in my wiring? I am perplexed and need to get into my car. Any suggestions???

If you have AAA call them or if not call a locksmith. Good luck. And once you get your keys back make a copy of your door lock key and keep it in your wallet.

What I commonly see on my car and others is if you never use the key to get in the car and only use the key fob sometimes the key won't turn in the door. Try spraying some WD-40 in the key hole and see if that works.
That's assuming you had the dealer cut you the door key and not ignition like others in the post have mentioned. I would think the ignition key with the security chip would cost more than $20 but who knows....old technology

i tried everything. I just had the allstate guy pop the lock manually. Now i have another question. Will my car lose its tune since i disconnected the battery for over 30 minutes?
