Remove center tail piece on T/A?

Default Remove center tail piece on T/A?

Hey guys, how do u remove that center piece on the tail panel of trans ams? My 2000 T/A's centerpiece is really faded and I wanna take it off and paint it

have to remove both of the tail light housings then it pops off.

Pop the hatch and peel back the jute in behind the tail lights. You'll find 5 plastic wing nuts on the back of each light. Simply undo those, and the lights pull right out. Keep a hand on the center section as it just slides onto the studs for the tail lights.

See that's what i thought, i took my tails out the other night to tint them, that thing is just stuck on i guess, i'll just have to use some force. Thanks guys

Once the tail lights are removed, there shouldn't be anything holding the center section on the car.

There are these little foam donuts that kind of stick to the body.. just be gentle, youll feel them let loose... there is nothing but the foam crap holding it on...
