My friend has an fd with an L92(I think). It's an aluminum 6.0L with the vvt, though the cylinder cut off is disabled. It has the ls3 intake and long tube headers on it too. Compared to a13b, there is no comparison. The torque and power available in any gear (t56- 6 speed from a Camaro) makes the car so easy to drive. 50mph in 6th, hit the gas and go.

As for mileage, not sure, as it's not mine, but around town I would imagine high teens and mid 20s on the hwy should be easy. This is partly based on my car too (see sig).

Should be a beast torque wise. My light bolt on Trans Am has crazy torque from a super low RPM. Look at that torque across the power band...

Sounds really good, I'll see if I can get a video tonight when I go over there.

If you do a you tube search for LS1 or ls3 clips, that will give you an idea.

Stock LS1/t56 should get you around 18-20mpg city/25-30mpg hwy.

Don't pay extra for an "SS" engine, they are exactly the same as any other same year LS1.
All LS1's make around 345hp/375ft.lbs at the flywheel stock, with LT headers, and exhaust they will make around 400hp/400ftlbs at the fly wheel give or take.
You know how your car feels near redline? Yeah its likely going to feel like that at 2500RPMs all the way to redline with an LS1... I love torque...
