Default Fit a hood in the back of a camaro?

Ok so I know we have some experts around here in fitting odd crap into the back of f-bodies, so here's my question: Can you fit a stock Camaro hood in the back if the seat is folded down?

Reason I ask is that I'm looking at picking up a used cowl hood, but I want to test fit it first. Catch is, it's like two hours away and I don't want to make two trips or take two vehicles if I can help it. So if it fit good, I'd be bolting it on, but then I'd need to find away to get the stock one home too, as I'd like to keep it just in case I change my mind bout the cowl.

You could take your hood off befor you leave?( drive there with no hood) then just put that hood on and drive back? Just a thought.

I have a truck I could take. I just don't want to make multiple trips, since it's about 4hrs round trip.

As for the no hood idea, I think I'd be asking for trouble from the police.

I'm probably going to end up in my driveway this afternoon taking my hood off and trying to stuff it in the back, with my neighbors looking at me like I'm nuts.

Sounds like a better idea for what the OP is trying to do vs stuffing a hood in the back hatch of a car.
