Changing cams again after doing a swap 1k ago I'm doing a bunch of work to my car to get it up and running again. I just did a cam swap about 1000 miles ago but then the tranny broke and I haven't driven it since. I'm not too crazy about the cam in there now so I'm switching over to an EPS cam which I'll be swapping in while the tranny is being rebuilt. When I did the first cam swap I did the timing chain, oil pump, pushrods, but what I want to know is what all will I need to do it again?
So far I know water pump gaskets and balancer bolt. Are there any other gaskets I need to pick up? I changed all the gaskets last time, but didn't know if they won't reseal once you pull each piece off (like the front cover).

With only 1000 miles, you should be ok reusing the gaskets as long as they aren't damaged during removal. A balancer bolt is only about $7 and you should do that. I would think the only thing you might need is a different pushrod length depending on the cam specs. I'm assuming you already did valve springs on your last cam install.

Your sig says "heads/cam" so I don't think you'd want to invest in heads if it's the cam you're worried about. Of course changing the crank bolt is a must. Due to the mileage I assume the gaskets would be ok to reuse depending on the condition when removed.
I did a heads/cam swap a couple thousands miles ago and I'm swapping out mine as well for a number of reasons. I originally went with the Torquer V3, and since then I've figured out it's not the cam I really want. So I'm going with a custom grind with less aggressive lobes as soon as feasible.
