I tried to remov e the console to check out the short throw shifter today but couldnt get it out, i didnt see any screws, does it just pull out, or is there a trick to it

I it's anything like an a4 console there should be 2 screws when you open up the center console. Just take them out and maneuver the console around.

No prob. They are the ones all the way in the front. 10mm I believe.

There are 2 10mm Screws that hold the front of the Console to the bottom of the Dash. They are located one on each side, below the Radio & Heater Controls.

There are also 2 Screws inside the Console's Compartment that need to be removed as well. I believe they're 10mm as well.

There are 2 screws under the coin holder in the console that you may have missed. Those hold the middle part of the console in.

got it out, it was just the 2 screws under the coin holder i had to remove. didn't see them because of the coin holder lol

Removed my Console today and had forgotten about this one. Wanted to post up as a reminder to everyone, but got beaten to it. Thanks blue98Z.

So as a recap: There are two inside the Armrest Compartment, one under the Ashtray, and one on either side of the Console, under the Dash, where the console meets the carpet. Thats a total of 5 10mm bolts holding it in place.
