Which 5.3 to build Planning on a 5.3LS s10 build as soon as I find the right swap truck. Which year 5.3 do I want,and what donor vehicle should I look for?Im a bit confused on where to start. Whats the differences as they get newer? Planning on a 224 or 228,ls6 intake,swap longtubes,either ported 5.3 heads or 243s,a stall,and maybe a shot of nitrous eventually. This wont be a DD,just a track toy/car show cruiser/fun car.

I think it would be best to get one that has the 243 or 799 heads as those make the most power out of any of the 5.3's, they come out of the 07+ NNBS trucks or the 05-07 NBS's
