you can probably gain 10-20 HP from the fast on your cam set up, but I think if you do some ported heads and a good flowing exhaust and long tube headers then thats when the fast intake really shines,,,

plus they are coming down in price alot used since Fast decided to re-release them...

I personally wouldn't spend the extra money on a fast for just a cam only car and use an ls6 intake. But if I had a big cam and great flowing heads then I'd make the just because at that point the ls6 will become a bottle neck.

IMO you might as well get the good stuff now rather than spending more money down the road as far as the ls6 goes

The fast is well worth it for performance, plus it looks great. I have a h/c/i ss and on an ls6 intake and 1 3/4 pacesetters it made 420 to the tires. I swapped headers for kooks 1 7/8th race style and went with a fast 102 setup, and car now makes 457. almost 40 horse in my book was a good investment for still a stock bottom end car. Like they said up top, do it right once and prices are coming down on used ones also, if you can find one that wasnt hacked up already.

A big cam likes any upgrade, 1 7/8th headers, duals, etc but if your running a stock ls1 intake on a cammed ls1 a ls6 will be a nice gain, imo a fast is like the last mod when your trying to get a few extra hp out of your setup, buy a ls6 first, it will always be worth 300 ,put the extra money towards some nice heads, just mo

You would get more bang for the buck doing heads first.

If you already have the LS6 intake, I would do all the bolt-ons and upgrade the heads before going to the FAST set-up. If you still have the stock LS1 intake, do yourself a favor, forget about the LS6, and go right to the FAST. You'll be better off in the long run.

The car i just bought has a FAST installed on it, and i love it. It also has a cam, ported/polished heads and full bolt-ons. The car pulls really, really hard. But i dont have anything to compare it to as my last car just had bolt-ons and a ls1 intake manifold. I have heard nothing but good about FAST, but they are pretty expensive. I say do it right the first time and be done with it

Buy a fast 102 with a nick williams 92mm throttle body youll be better off no point in spending an extra 120$ for a fast TB when its exactly the same as a Nick williams i love the fast well worth the money and as long as ur cammed i got 31rwhp adding a fast 102 with a NW TB on a ls1 with 205 heads 62cc and a torquer v2 cam just saying of corse with a great tune tho
