Default I came home with

I came home with 5 LS1s and 2 5.3s from an auction.Paid $250.00 for all 5 LS1s,sold as a bundle and $500.00 for the two 5.3s at an auction.Came out of a garage a lady got out of a divorce settlement which was her ex husband's.Been told the 5.3s ran good and taking a chance on the LS1s.I did turn the LS1s over with a breaker bar and socket, turn over fine. The other bidder,a Ford guy that was bidding against me on the LS1s was going to scrap them saying LS1s are junk.I looked him and told him he was full of BS.I pretty much have one of the 5.3s sold,a buddy of mine wants to drop one in a 1936 Ford street rod.I did good including buying a couple more things too.

This was in a garage,I was told of this auction by an employee of mine. The lady wanted the LS1 engines sold as a bundle.4 of the 5 LS1s are complete, the heads and intake are off of the one.I am not selling them including the one remaining 5.3,going in my back room full of Chevy engine parts.

good for you!!! keep em all then you'll have bargaining chips for a lot of stuff. don't let anybody poke you in the eyes and take your money. [old saying] i saved my ls1 out of my Z28 with only 70k on it and the cylinder walls still have some crosshatch from the factory in them. i've read that ls1 blocks are stronger on the resleeve because they have more material in the blocks for the sleeves to adhear to.

Thats awesome... But what do you need all those motors for? Are you going to rebuild them for your own cars? Or do we need to stage a intervention with those hoarders people lol jk.
