Ran water through engine, car won't start
Okay guys, so a friend of mine who works on cars gave me a bit of advice for my next oil change. He said engines after lots of miles get sludge build up inside them and it reduces performance and effiency, etc. He recommended on my next oil change to run water through the engine and clean all the oil sludge out, so I did.
I took a garden hose and put it in the engine and filled it up, then tried starting it. The car made a very weird noise and would not start, so I turned it off and drained the water. I then filled it up with premium synthetic motor oil and let it set for awhile. I got in again and tried starting the car, it makes a very weird noise but would not start.
Please guys, I don't know what I did wrong, I followed my friend's advice and it seems like something is wrong. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

This is a poor attempt IMO in repeating a situation that happened on a Mustang forum years ago. A guy legit did this.. Ran water through his engine and was told it wouldn't f anything up as long as it was idling.

You have 951 posts here and you thought running water in your engine was a good idea? I don't think so.
For anyone else who might be worried about 'sludge', you can pour a can of Seafoam into your oil and run it for a half hour or so and clean the inside, then change the oil and filter.
I do not believe that the OP has never read a Seafoam thread here.
