Default What is your favorite place to order parts from?

I thought it might be good to hear from others where their goto parts store is under the various situations they find them selves in.

For example. When I'm working on a Ford performance application and I'm not in a hurry for parts I call my guy Steve at Tousley Ford. He's out of state so shipping is involved but there are no taxes involved so a lot of times that's a wash. Steve sells ford parts for 10% over dealer cost. Now if I need a part quick I go to the local NAPA and my guy Dan will usually get me out the door without feeling like I just lost my virginity.

I've done business with Rock Auto and had some good experiences there especially if I can find some of their old stock they're wanting to clear from their shelves.

I don't yet have a hook up on GM parts like I do on Ford parts....10% over cost is difficult to beat. Most parts dealers I mention these types of discounts to have little interest in even coming close to that sort of discount.

Any body on these boards buying GM parts at or near 10% over costs? If so shoot me a PM... I need some stuff.

I'd like to hear from others so far as what has worked for them through out their years.

Thanks
Roach

Don't know about the over cost stuff, but I've had good luck with Texas Speed and WS6 Store for aftermarket stuff and Summit for anything having to do with replacement parts

If I had to pick one I would have to say Tick was my favorite, because Joey was so friendly and seemed like he remebered me every time I called. Ive also had nothing but good experiences with Vengeance and Texas Speed.

Some places will offer a discount if you order over the phone. Most are also willing to do a discount on a package deal.

How did you get such a deep discount on ford parts?

I've heard great things about Texas Speed that once I'm ready to get my LS powered contraption going fast they're on my short list of shops that I'll be calling for parts.

I've had great experiences with both Texas Speed and SNL Performance. Both are very knowledgeable, and have worked extensively with me on what different combinations will work best to meet my goals. Doesn't hurt that both offer great products as well!

Great transactions with Texas speed, ws6 store. Replacement wise I typically go rockauto, i really like their catalog and I don't know of a better alternative.

Bad experiences with Spec, and Thunder Racing.

WS6store, RockAuto, Summit Racing, an Jegs seem to work well for me, most of the time.

Speed Inc was my go-to-place when I started modding my car, because they were the only LSX place I knew of that that offered free shipping on orders over $100. As we all know, when you buy car parts, it's extremely easy to spend over $100. I had a little incident with them over the summer, so I haven't used them much lately. I'd much rather spend my money with one of the smaller LSX businesses than Jegs or Summit.

Speed Inc, WS6store, Thunder Racing, Tick, and Texas Speed have all treated me pretty well in the past. I would also like to add that Hawks Third Generation is awesome for finding little things like ash tray lids

For general stuff I've got the best deals from Advance Auto using discount codes online. Most of the time it's better than my student discount at carquest.

i work at a Ford dealership as a tech so i get ford parts for 10% over dealer cost which is typically pretty cheap. The dealer i work for also owns a chevy store down the street which i also get stuff for 10% over dealer cost. So i bought alot of stuff when i rebuilt my camaro through the dealer because i was able to get it so cheap and quickly. I would just look up the part #s on gm parts giant. com and call my buddy up that works in the parts department and i would have them the next day delivered to my toolbox lol.

I also use ws6store, texas-speed, coloradospeed, and umiperformance alot

WS6 Store (are we seeing a trend here?) Strano Performance (only sells you what you really need for your application) and Jason at Sam Taylor Buick Cadillac Ft. Walton Beach FL (new factory parts).
