Default i'dont see why not

my car has about 40,000 miles on it without cats, still strong enough to outpace my brothers T/A that he never drives!and mufflers are for sound dampening as far as i know.

Yes, it is perfectly ok for the engine to have no cats and no mufflers.

Think of all the race cars with headers and cutouts or turndowns right after the collectors. Their valves are fine.

I would not worry about such a thing unless you had very short tube headers and then nothing afterwards. If you have LT headers with any sort of piping afterwards, then you are fine in terms of valves. The only issue you might encounter, if you don't have enough pipe after the headers, is poor O2 sensor readings due to freash air intrusion.

Cat/muffler deletes are not a problem at all though.

It will be fine, there are tons of these cars rolling around with no cats. I've been without cats for about 11k miles and I will never put them back on.

When a friend of mine told me he did that to his '94 Impala, headers, X pipe, duals to the rear bumper no cats or mufflers I thought the cops are really gonna like this.
To my suprise it was not near as loud as I thought it would be and it sounded good!

Cops don't mess with muscle cars, they go after the rice burners. I've been running no cats, long tubes and straight pipes forever with no problems.

SLP LM1 is effectively a straight pipe. I like the sound on these motors a lot better than most others ive heard
