Default What's a good site to buy used GM engines?

Anyone know of any good sites or companies that sell used GM engines? Or large widely known salvage yards that you could recommend? Found a few scam sites and companys that sell crate motors but not much luck with used engines. I'm looking for an LY6 out of a 2007-Present Silverado or Sierra HD.

Other than that idk any other websites that do.

You could check on local junkyards.

Pull A Part is another salvage place where you can score stuff cheaply if you have one near you.

Thanks RedRocket. I found one pretty quick on there about 2 hours away from me. Went and picked it up Friday. Brand new L96 surplus motor on the original GM pallet, never even been installed in a vehicle, 2800 bucks. I'd say it was a pretty good deal. Thanks again for the site man.

I thought you were calling someone in this thread a dumb *** until I read back through the posts to figure out who and then back to yours and realized you were referring to the local JY dealer as the dumb ***

seemed out of character seeing your posts here and on HPT over the years lol

To the poster sounds like a great deal for new ! I like using car-part to see what all the participating local yards within driving distance have to offer , to anyone reading this be sure you get the dash between car and part there is also a carpart.com IMO car-part.com is better for the type of searches a member here would tend to make to source drivetrain parts.
