Default 99 ls1 rev limiter

Hey guys, I have 99 ls1 out of a camaro in my Nissan 240sx and I drive te car hard and someone brought to my attention that 6800rpm may be too high. I figured that was safe and I was gonna upgrade rod bolts so I could rev higher and be safe. I drive the car on the street, drift, drag and autocross so I'm pretty hard on it. What's a safe rev limiter?

Only the bottom end is stock.
I have trickflow 220 heads
Vrx5 cam
Fast 102 intake
Fast 92 tb
42lb injectors
Dual valve springs
Trick flow push rods
Modified rockers
Morel lifters
Etc.

All i want to know is what a safe rev limiter is on stock 99 ls1 bottom end with the mods I have? Thanks.

I would set the rev limit at 6500. And keep it off the limiter. I know how drift people do and flat foot it and leave it bounce.

If you're planning on rod bolts, you may as well put good rods and pistons in it as well. I wouldn't try to do it without at least re sizing the stock rods, they go out of round very easily.

I've already drove car pretty hard all the way to 6800 and I don't just bounce it of the rev limiter either. My pushrods aren't a issue I don't think. I'm going to get katech rod bolts for now, so i don't have to resize them. Im gonna build the bottom end next winter so I can pro charge it. I'm gonna run this year n/a.

Don't believe the hype.

Do it once, do it right.
