Default Couple of cam questions

I have a 2000 WS6 M6 with 70k. I was thinking of putting in a Tourquer V2 in it.

Does putting a more aggressive cam like that in, severely decrease the longevity of the car? I plan on keep the car for a long time(maybe forever!) and I don't want it to start falling apart haha.

That being said, will our cars be a collector at some point? I would assume having them stock would make them worth alot more money.

I wouldn't really worry about our cars being super valuable down the road lol Any type of performance mod will degrease longevity to some degree, but the milder you go, the better you maintain your car, valvetrain, etc...the longer it will last obviously. With that said I run the Torquer V2 and love it

Are you kidding ? Throw that Cam in your car & Race the Shi...@@!@#$%^T Outta that Thang ! Put some long tube headers on it along with an Air Lid & polished throttle body & high flow air cleaner for more air flow. Dont forget the 3'' minimum diameter high flow cat back with a magnaflow muffler. A good Dyno tune would be in order also. If you really want some serious power... Spray the Biotch !

Where will your most likely stress related fail points after doing mods like these? Other than the rear end.

Well things like valve springs and the general rotating assembly will be stressed a bit more, but if it's set up correctly it will be minimal. I think you need to ask yourself what do you want more...horsepower or reliability lol. It's just common sense here

Upgrade your springs, lifters, pushrods and rockers and you would be fail safe. I would also do the oil pump too.

I was going to do the TSP package that comes with the cam, springs, and rod. I would do an oil pump at the same time.

I wasn't planning on doing the rockers or lifters, but I can if it's a better idea?
Don't you have to remove the heads for the lifters? Doesn't sound fun to me.

On that note, there is no valve adjustment to be done, correct? Just torque down the rocket bolts to the right specs?

You stock rockers and lifters are fine as they only have 70k on them. I would also do a Ls2 timing chain as well. you will also need a new crank bolt.
