Question How much faster is ls1 over lt1?

I only ask this, because today I saw an lt1 ws6 on the freeway and he kept acting like he wanted to run them, so we both slow down to about 40 and did the typical three horn honk, but as soon as we took off I straight murdered this guy by the time we hit 100 I was at least four car lengths in front of him, we ended up pulling off at the next exit and chatted for a few minutes and he was shocked that all I had done on my car was the exhaust and headers...

Is this normal for our cars? We were both an automatic

I think it's like a 60 hp difference, stock vs. stock... at least as far as the rated hp goes.

So yeah, a stock LS1 would pretty much rape a stock LT1.

Before I knew anything about being fast my girlfriend had a v6 mustang and I thought it was pretty quick ( I was 16...) and I raced a LT1 from a 50 roll and got destroyed..... couldnt believe it.

A year later I had my 2000 Z28 running low 12's and the same guy pulled up.... wouldnt race me because he said I would kill him. Felt good but I really didnt get redemption.

Anyways, good kill. Now be quiet before you **** off some fast LT1 guys that will drag you like a mac truck.

We have both a street racing section and a bench racing section, please use those sections for these types of threads in the future.
