PCM Heat
I looked everywhere and short of finding a GM engineer to ask here's the issue. I'm building a hybrid and the PCM will be located between the firewall and the passenger footwell. The PCM is a processor and has to generate heat and heat kills electronics. My question is do I need to attach it to a heat sink, ventilate it, or isn't heat an issue at all. Thanks in advance.

You know the factory PCM location is INSIDE the engine bay. Not many places get hotter than that. Granted, the blower assembly provides some protection but not much.
Maybe snag a little computer fan or cheap bilge fan to draw hot air away from it? Pretty much anything 12V will work, lower amperage the better since our alternator is junk anyways.
