Getting 700whp out of a LS1?
My 99 T/A is all stock at the moment, but in a few weeks ill be putting on kooks LTs,y pipe ,borla catback and a slp, i have everything already except the borla i just have to pay a few bills this week then everythings a go. My goal is to build it up to around 600-700whp,keep it naturally aspirated, without having to tear the engine down an put all new internals, is reaching numbers like that even possible with what im asking?
In the future i wanna slowly build up a LS7 with all forged internals and all the bells an whistles, an swap the LS1 out, in the meantime im just tryna have some fun with the LS1.
i figure once i get the exhaust done, upgrade the intake, do heads & a cam i should be around the 400-5XX range, where do i go from there?

This is how feelings get hurt after a build is complete.

Those expecatations aren't realistic. A streetable heads, cam, intake + full bolt on setup will get you anywhere from 440-460 rwhp on a stock cube LS1. There are some other "max effort" setups that have made it to the 500 rwhp mark, however that isn't the norm.
If you're interested in a dyno number, a solid heads, cam, intake and bolt on setup plus a 150 shot of N2O might get you a dyno pull in the 600 rwhp range, however don't expect the stock bottom end to hold onto that for too long (personal experience).
In view of this, I would urge you to consider your goals and your budget without putting any type of power numbers criteria. At the end of the day, who cares about the numbers if the car meets your goals and budget constraints.

Thanks for all the responses, but yea i figured it wasnt too realistic lol just tryna see how close i could get to that mark without going FI. I forgot to add im not trying to go nitrous either.
I think ill just have some fun with the LS1 right now and build the transmission an rear end, throwing in a bigger block ill have to anyway. And just save my $ for a LS7 build.
The car is a A4, and its my daily driver at the moment, but im planning on getting a honda or acura beater for work to keep the miles off the TA.
