OK I'm stupid, what is a Dropout Engine?

I found this term being used on eBay complete engines.

Is it just another term for "complete engine w/computer?"

Just means they took the motor out of another car or truck. Generally on eBay they will post what it came out of and how many miles are on it. Ads should also list what comes with it... Trans, wiring harness, etc.

yes, generally they mean the entire engine. harness, computer and sometimes even fuse boxes.

should still check all details though.

Pull out sounds better and makes more sense....but drop out means engine removed and ready to swap
