I pulled the driver's side plastic Corvette fuel rail cover off and it split where the fuel line comes out. The split is about 3" or 4" long. Can this split be repaired, epoxied or glued? I was thinking about painting them anyway, so I could smooth down the repair if necessary. I thought about using a soldering gun to melt the plastic from the back side (like they repair plastic bumpers) but didn't know if that would work?

You should probably get a plastic welding kit for that repair.
