Ls6 intake question

Default Ls6 intake question

I have an ls6 intake on my 99 trans am. The vacuum line that goes from the front to back (Intake Pulls Vacuum I believe). That hose where is coming off the intake behind the throttlebody is colapsed and has the Dry rot looking effect to it. How important is this to change? How hard? And where could i find a replacement?

Sounds like the PCV line. This is a pretty common item to deteriorate as these cars age. You can either custom fabricate a new PCV line and boot (there are threads that outline this, if you do a search), or you can replace the entire line with a new one from the dealer (~$100). The PCV boot itself was the first thing to give out on mine, the rest of the line is still fine.
