Default highway pull

hey guys, when I do a pull from 60-65.It seems like it hangs then clears up.i just when u mash the peddle it hangs if full throttle near 60-65.Is it just torque management.it sometimes doesn't feel like its just stays at that rpm which iss weird.do these cars run fast when u don't smash the peddle all the way down because it feels like when u do 90-95 it pulls faster

That does not sound like TM on a stock car. If you floor it at 60-65 and nothing happens/it stays at the same rpm, then something isn't right. Could be trans or fuel related.

I've had several of these cars in stock configuration, and each one has reacted the same to WOT at those speeds (A4); a downshift to 2nd gear and strong acceleration. That's with TM still 100% active.

Are you getting any codes/SES light? If not, I would start by cleaning the MAF.

You could also check fuel pressure both hot and cold, if you have access to a FP gauge.

x2 on maf cleaning. made a difference for me. eliminated little bump in idle, smoothed out accell all around.
make sure u get the actual maf cleaner. maybe 'electronics' cleaner the guy at autozone tried to convince me was the same would work, but im not taking any chances, went to different places till i found maf cleaner.

I've never used actual MAF cleaner. Just rubbing alcohol and Q-tips - which has served me perfectly for this process for about 15 years now.

Yea theres sever things you could use for that. From what i gathered from OP i think hes not in the Power Band maybe? Like hes trying to mash it in 4th or something.

The OP has not been clear about his transmission type, but the fact that he's even mentioning TM leads me to believe it's an auto (since TM is really a non-issue for M6 cars). If it IS an auto, then there should be no dead spot at WOT @60-65mph, you should get a downshift to 2nd and the car should accelerate hard.

Could be that or the fact that its one of the laziest spots with a stock converter

There shouldn't be any dead spot at that speed, even with a stock converter, since there would be an automatic downshift to 2nd gear with a dramatic increase in rpms (from OD/3rd cruising). Sounds like the OP either isn't getting a downshift, or isn't getting proper fueling perhaps. A true "dead spot" with the stock converter would be ~30-40mph (with 3.23 gears), since that's too fast to get a downshift to 1st, but slow enough that you're still at the basement of 2nd gear.
