Default What next!?

I have a 99 z28 that is asking for new mods for christmas!!
im already getting new rims and tires with my next paycheck, and then a hood here soon. my question is, what should i get after that?? i want to get most of my engine mods done before i tune it.
As of now these are the mods that are done to my car

160º thermostat
10.5mm plug wires
LT headers
3" ORY pipe
single 3"in/out magnaflow muffler
3500 stall converter
Egr Delete
Rear o2 sensor delete
Free air mod
subframe connectors
lower control arms
along with a nice stereo system.

any ideas are greatly appreciated!
btw, as of now i do daily drive the car.

A savings account.. stop modding while you can.

If you insist to burn money - ls6 intake is my vote.

I don't really have anything to save money for, other than parts for my car, so I figured I would do as much as i can while not having bills, other than insurance. xD
And if i were to get an ls6 intake would it help to get a ported throttle body also? And I guess I could pick up an air lid for it to

You could start saving for college or to buy a house.

As far as the car goes a ls6 intake, ported TB, and a lid will help you maximize your gains from your exhaust. You could also look into a under drive pulley and decide if its right for you.

Read the FAQ's about mods. A lid should've been one of the first mods. The stock un-modded air lids on our beloved cars are very restrictive. just sayin'

He's right. Modding cars is very addictive. Im 19 and i have put tons of money into my car. Im trying to get it under control and u should definitely try to save a little bit. I work full time plus overtime to pay for all this lol. But on a side not its money well spent in my eyes.

hehe at 27 I'm still not done blowing copious amounts of money on cars. Stupid? Probably. Fun? Absolutely.

For every mod you spend money on, just try to save the amount that it cost before moving to the next mod.

Also, never use a credit card/borrow money for mods. Cash only. It'll keep you out of too much trouble.

yeah, the people we got the car from already had all this stuff done to it, I for sure want to increase the air in considering the air out is more than enough for now, and trust me i understand how modding goes, my dad had an 89 s10, tubbed, with a narrowed 9" and a pretty big 355, and an 80 z28 with a 468

I know you want to mod your car, just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not use a credit card to do it. Save the money in cash and set aside 10% of what you bring home in a savings account that you will NOT touch. I wish someone would have told me to do that before I was spending 2 years paying off credit cards and living pay check to pay check. At the very least save 10% of each check, its adds up a lot quicker than you think and there will be rainy WEEKS one day when your washing machine dies, then the dryer, then the next week (to the day to be exact) the fridge dies, then the transmission on your truck starts to slip because it has 180k miles on it........that is just a recap of the beginning of THIS year. All I am saying is just when you think you have a good "cushion" of savings, think again. Enjoy the car, mod it over time and really think about what you want to do with the car. Make the mods compliment other mods too.

Just so you all know this is my son asking the question he is a good kid doesn't smoke drink or do drug's and he has bought all his toys himself ,and he works part time due to he is in school, we will buy the occasional xmas/ b-day present to help him out. I would rather have him putting money into his car and bike than spending it on the others things. I was going to get on here and ask the same question he did but he beat me to it.
So a lid next then alright. thanks.

As mentioned, it gets very addictive. I'm lucky that I can at least control my spending.
Parts start to add up real fast to! If I would of saved what I've dumped into my car I'd for sure have a down payment on a house... And I'm only 19 lol.
Hell, I just look at my garage and cringe from time to time.

Expensive, yes. Fun, I'll find out very soon
