Default Pacesetter headers?? Cutouts?? Please help.

I just bought a bone stock 2000 ws6 and I wanted an exhaust.
I LOVE loud exhaust and wanted to do an exhaust asap to it.
Here is my question, if I bought pacesetter headers and placed an electric cutout value right after it and then attached my stock exhaust to that would it work?

Why would you want to do that? you might ask yourself.
Well here is why, I wanted the sound of a loud header straight piped/open header but not all the time. I figured if I placed a cutout right after the headers I would have the option of setting off car alarms whenever I wanted but I would also have a more stock/quieter sound that comes with normal pipes. Kind of like the best of both worlds.

Also do pacesetter heads fit well?
What electric cutout would you recommend. (best bang for your buck)
Would the check engine light come on if I did this?

It would be best to put it after the Y pipe.

Look at speed engineering. They are a sponsor and have a great product.

Also, don't cheap out on the cutout.

If you put it after the rear O2 sensors you shouldn't get a light.

Do some reading, lots and lots of information out there.

Ill bet 5 internet dollars that if you get a cutout now you will change your exhaust setup 5 times in 5 years.

And what are the difference between the pacesetter headers you get from eBay and the ones you get from the pacesetter web site? They are about $400-$500 apart. (EBay being the cheapest)

Real Pacesetter headers are 1 3/4. E bay headers are not.
