Default oil pressure gauge question, semi-newb

ok ,98 camaro z28, the oil pressure seems to run a tiny bit lower than expected. how accurate (if at all) are the stock gauges. i know from reading the 98 temp gauge is good, and later years its just a dummy light basicly, so is nthe oil any better, for 98?
runs at 40ish at startup, and floats around 20-25ish after warmed, goes up to close to 40 under accel,. i know the rule of thumb is 10psi for 1krpm, so its good there, just wondered if its worth time to install a manual gauge?

Install a better gauge... the stock ones aren't really good...
