You can buy the program and enjoy it. It is an interesting, thought provoking, exercise. But, whatever you do, do not take it as the last word. In fact, don't even take it as a general guide. As an out of the box software, it is pretty much just a toy.

Don't get me wrong, those type programs can be used for design and engineering, but only in conjunction with lots of testing and/or real world experience. The program would need extensive customization of the formulas from real world data generated on similar combos in order for it be accurate enough to take its cam specs and actually use them as suggested.

So, buy it, enjoy it etc. But vet your ideas through an experienced cam expert who has a lot of experience with similar combos before you have a cam cut.

redline 5,800 perfect
now how to start the TQ Much sooner and get overlap to around Zero???
first thoughts would be 216/224 112 l/s 107 icl
**VS ** 216/224 110 l/s 110 icl

Default nv4500

its complicated...really it is.
this is a aprox 4,500 lbs
38.5" tires ,nv4500 5 speed,4.10 gears, overall gearing isnt really too bad though i do have a Very wide 1st to 2nd ratio
Low end tq is the real goal and a lope for shows H.P. isnt a big concern
thanks

To get the low end torque that you desire, you will more likely want a cam with an intake duration from 200 to 208. Otherwise, you will likely lose power at 2500 and below which will make it doggy at low speeds. Crane Cams has some new cams just for your application.

as for non custom the crane vinci stuff is what i liked best so far.
210/218 112 l/s 107 icl .551 062 cam
their 216/224 113 l/s 108 icl would peek around 5,800? (perfect)
Id like More lope and to move the Tq curve Down.
So actually seeing it on a desktop dyno is what ill need.
Anyone suggest one dyno over another??????????
