Default lsx powerd cop cars . over 500 hp

So I'm in the mountains of southwest co. I have my car serviced by H&D motorsports here if I'm lazy, they build land speed cars and are the ****.. bikes, rock crawlers, blown drag cars, Bonneville salt car(there going for land speed record in there fresh 69 camaro 250+).. the car is called" the spirit of Durango", awesome *** shop.

ANYWAY, the owners are former cops and they have contracts with 6 different agency's. .. went there today to pick up some **** I orderd, and they got these sick *** cop cars, special built in Australia (cop cars only)

Tune and few bolt ons you would have a sweet *** 500+ sleeper/daily driver for cheaper than any other 4 door v8 rwd gm car.(maybe this is why only cops get them,so they can still charge up the *** for the cts g8 and ss

Trust me I WILL own one of these when they retire them(maybe 2 years?) Fingers crossed. Would be a fraction of a used g8 or cts v, , for sure cheaper than the civilian ss

What you guys think?

Yes they are, you cannot purchase from a dealer though, any fleet vehicle has to be retired for civilian use, it don't matter if it has 200 miles or 200,000 miles. If they wanna retire it that's all that matters, ... it's like how ppl own cop cars now, we will just have to wait.. the cool thing is they will be auctiond off Sao I don't think they will go very high.

Used or at a dealer? If ars at a dealer it's only for police use, even though it's sitting forsale,if you tried to buy it u couldn't, unless it's a used dealer than its fare game, same as crown vics

i'm skeptical about the 500hp claim,
i think 400hp would be more realistic,
do you know the specs of the motor?

I said with a few bolt ons and a tune you would have 500+(easy on a ls2) I'm guessing it has the same as a stock ls2, maybe a interceptor chip to up it a little idk?

Used, at a dealer that mostly deals in retired police vehicles.

Ya I read that earlier too, I wonder why since a regular ls2 has over 400, wonder why they would tune it down

These are nothing new. These have been around since 2011 model year, so about 4 years now. They come in both V6's (301hp) and V8's (355hp). You can find them on autotrader if you really want one.

A guy I know has one he bought new. It's nice because since he got it new, there's no holes drilled in the roof or console or anything like you'd get on a used one. Not sure how he got it, but it's pretty sweet. Stock it ran low 14's, with a muffler delete+tune it ran a 13.7, and with a 100 shot he's running mid 12's at 110ish. It's a plain white car, no cupholders, no carpets even. Pretty cool.

They aren't LS2 motors though. They are L92/L76 motors. Same thing that came in the G8 GTs. The LS2s really had a limited run. They were in the C6s for a few years, the '05 & '06 GTO, and a couple years in the CTS-V. That's pretty much it.

I found a Caprice (V8) here locally, never put into service, 800 mi on the clock (they even have the MyLink touch screen). $18k. I almost bought it, but then I found my GTO. Only downfall is they have that metal utility center console.

Asia Motors in Chicago has used cop cars. Some are older, some have low miles, and most of them are very clean. They buy them from all over the country and do have Caprices.
