Keep Trans Am or sell...
I bought a 6 speed Trans Am last summer and I really enjoy the car but I find myself really wanting a Regular Cab Duramax truck to lower and make into a race truck that I can still use. I got the car for a really good deal and after seeing what people are asking for Trans Am's with the same mileage in my area I know I can definitely make money on this car.
What would you guys do? Keep and build the Trans Am or sell and build this regular cab duramax truck? I still have a 1994 Z28 to play around with so it's not like I won't have a car anymore either.

I really like trucks for daily drivers but wouldn't ever care to build one for race purposes myself. So I'd stick with the Trans Am. Having said that, this is strictly a matter of opinion and preference, and in the end only your opinion matters since you're the one who has to live with it.

Sell the LT1, buy a normal 1500 Silverado unless you haul loads that makes you actually need a duramax, then take the $20k you would have spent trying to make the duramax as fast as your LS1 is now and make the TA that much faster.
I know too many that have been down the diesel drag race road and the money it takes to keep those things on the road with beefing up basically everything is unreal. With just the money you would spend upgrading the front end on a 4x4 diesel you could make the TA much much faster.
At the end of the day you already have your toy...the LS1....and the LT1 just needs to go. After having 4 LT1 cars and now 3 LS1 cars I can't imagine 30 years down the road thinking.."Man I'd love to have my LT1 car back" and not the LS1.
Just my $.02

I've made the mistake of buying cars in colors that I didn't really like, and it never gets any better.

A good color-change repaint is extremely expensive, so unless you already have a ton of money and time into the build, you'd be better off to sell it and get something that's a color you already like.

Black is a real pain. Too hard to keep clean, and kind of bland on cars like these when all the trim is also black, though it looks great with chrome accents/trim.

I've had two pewter F-bodies, and regretted it both times. The only good thing about that color is its ability to hide dirt, otherwise it's completely unappealing to me. Both times that I gave it a chance, I figured that it would grow on me. It never did. And this is odd, because silver is my favorite color for basically any car (I also have a silver F-body and love that shade), and pewter is pretty close, but the goldish-tanish quality is what makes me dislike it.
