Camaro SS 2 or 5.0 Coyote
Trying to figure out which way to go.
My buddy has the new 5.0 with full bolt on's and it MOVES out. Runs high 11's.
If I go camaro it will get Full exhaust, intake and Cam
If i go 5.0 it will get full exhaust, intake and spray.
Opinions/suggestions welcome

ZL1 is a little out of the price range lol
Im leaning towards the SS.
However the more I read, the more people are saying the 5.0 is the way to go. Feel as though I can make the mustang faster for a lot cheaper. Mid pipe, axle back, intake and Ghost cam tune. Should be very low 12's maybe even high 11's

"Ghost cam tune" is It's sort of like the ricers having a fake blow off valve sound simulator.
Otherwise, I would go with the 5.0 if you don't mind having a different OEM. I personally think the 5.0 GT is a better looking car, but my familiarity with GM would make it hard to undertake the task of getting used to a new OEM. That's the only reason I might pick the 5th gen, otherwise I'd go with the Mustang.

Just be careful with the 6 speed Chinese trannys that Ford put in their Mustangs. I'm on a Mustang forum as well as here and there are many tales of woe with those 6 speeds. Not all, but they are certainly mentioned enough. Although my 5 speed GT is now 8 years old I have no desire to move 'up' to one of those Chinese manuals. I don't really want an automatic tranny with the Coyote engine. You decide, just do your homework before buying a used one.

if I had to make the same decision... unless I could afford a ZL1... it would be the 5.0, far better looking car and stout performer.

I personally would much rather have the Mustang, I never really did like the look of the newer camaros. Or why not look at 2011 GT500's? Add a pulley + tune and no need to mod for awhile.
