My MPG is BAD!

My MPG is BAD!
Okay... first of all, I know that MPG and Performance doesn't necessarily go hand in hand, but I think this exceeds that point!
I have an unmodded LQ9 save for an LS6 intake, pulled emissions, no rear O2, L60e with a 3200, and 410s in the rear.
I was getting roughly 70+ miles to the 1/4 tank, and pulled 184 miles on a 1/2 tank, on slop 87.
I just recently had the ecu tuned, but now I am getting 40 miles, spot on, on every 1/4 tank; at 4.2/gal for each 1/4, that 9.5/mpg. That doesn't sound right, on a unmodded motor.
Guys with modded motors, putting out more power, are getting a better MPG that me!

Time for a conversation with your tuner - unless you've been fiddling around with your car and did something that caused a problem. For example, one time I had the lid and MAF off as one piece and didn't get the coupler fully seated on the bottom of the TB when I reinstalled it. That let unmetered air into the TB causing the fuel trims to go wild and the car to run pig rich.
